YOU'VE GOT QUESTIONS?Everything you wanted to ask about Brand Strategy, Design, and all things your brand.
DESIGNING A BRAND together“How soon can we get started on my Brand Direction?” and other questions you might have:
-
Project start dates depend on my current availability. When you submit your inquiry, you can include your ideal launch timeline, and I’ll confirm my next opening based on your project’s scope and my current calendar. Once we agree on a start date, I’ll hold your spot with a signed contract and deposit.
-
For brand projects you’ll need a clear sense of what your services are and a general idea of who you want to offer them to. (But the more specific you can be on your audience, the stronger your materials will be in the end).
Everything else will be built together. I’ll get a sense of your taste by looking at your current brand materials and the mood board and direction you create during kick-off.
-
Absolutely! This is a studio of one!, which gives you the chance to work with one creative partner through the whole process. I’ll guide you from strategy to launch, so the whole experience feels clear and collaborative.
-
I work with small businesses of all kinds. Recently, that’s included a travel blogger, a yoga studio, a plant shop, a professional artist and wallpaper designer, a general contractor, and an excavation company. What they all have in common is dedication to their unique craft and a desire to share their work in a naturally engaging way.
I also bring my own working experience from:
Business operations
Education and coaching
Yoga, wellness, and fitness
Floristry
Fine art and handmade businesses
-
Nope! We’ll start with a kick-off strategy call where you can share your goals for the rebrand and I’ll make my recommendations based on what you’re hoping to achieve. And of course, if there’s a part of your brand that you love or that’s working well for you, we’ll build that into the strategy of your rebrand.

Your assets will be human-made by me! I do use AI tools selectively in my code development for website projects and in some research phases for brand projects (for things like competitor research or to see how your business is referenced by AI assistants to prospective clients searching for you) but I do not generate any client materials or strategy.
Some editing processes I use, like Canva’s image-background-remover or other Photoshop texture layers, can be incorrectly flagged as AI images by automated checkers, so I’m always happy to share about my process in creating anything I make for you. If you’re curious, just ask!
digging into strategy“What is brand strategy?” and other things you might be curious about before booking:
-
Brand strategy is the foundation of your business identity. It’s the strategic direction that guides everything from your visuals to your marketing.
A logo and colors are usually what people think of when they hear “brand.” But strategy makes sure those pieces are rooted in meaning (not just nice to look at) so that all elements of your brand are actively helping you to connect well with the people you want to reach and able to move naturally toward your bigger goals.
-
If you’re brand new, I’d actually recommend DIY’ing your materials for a bit until you’re clear on what you’re offering and who it’s meant for.
If you’ve had a few paying clients already and feel ready to invest in the future of your business, I’d recommend building a Conversation Website or a starting with a smaller Launch Website or Portfolio Website from inside the Sept. Dept.
Any of those web projects will give you a well put-together website to market yourself. One of the first hurdles a new business has to overcome is feeling and looking legitimate, so building a clean, well-written website (even one with simple branding) is a great place to start.
-
You can think of it this way: brand strategy is the plan, branding is the design, and marketing is the way you share your work.
Strategy should comes first, that way your visual identity and marketing materials actually connect to tell a story that your ideal consumer can see themselves in. That connection is how you build trust, show your value, and when the time is right, make sales!
-
That depends on what your goals are and how you market your business.
Brand Direction was made for businesses that do a lot of their marketing online or who want a unique visual story. These kind of businesses want a memorable visual identity that can help them build recognition and make connections in crowded online spaces. Many of the clients who are a strong fit for brand direction, also need a website and can continue on to build both.
Since both the Conversation and Destination Websites include color palettes and font pairings, they will always create a well-polished, coordinated website, even with simple branding. For example, local service providers who market in-person or by word-of-mouth, may prefer to jump right into a Conversation Website and find that it offers everything they need.
BEcomiNG A CLIENT “Can I request a payment plan?” and other questions you might have about next steps as a client of the studio:
-
A professional brand identity is a foundational investment that pays off by helping you build trust with prospective clients and supporting your sales and marketing efforts.
-
Yes! I offer flexible payment plans to make investing in a professional brand design more manageable. You can spread the cost over multiple payments while still getting a high-quality, strategic brand that positions your business for growth from day one.
-
All projects are reserved with a partial payment, which holds space in the studio calendar and allows us to set your kick-off date and delivery timeline. You are always welcome to pay in full upfront if you prefer.
For larger, multi-part projects such as custom Destination Website proposals or work that includes Sept. Dept. services, you may request a custom payment plan for the remaining balance after your initial payment.
For all projects, the remaining balance must be paid on or before the final day of your project. Once payment is complete, your final materials will be shared with you.
